We're always looking for prospective boxers to join our team. Amateur boxing can be an extremely fulfilling and beneficial experience for children and young adults. Participants will build self-confidence and character along with sportsmanship, the value of conditioning and a positive release of frustrations and energy. In a word, yes! With proper safety equipment, the right instruction and careful supervision, amateur boxing offers a good positive learning environment and much of the potential for injury can be significantly reduced. In our program, we'll never throw a new participant in the ring to "see how tough he or she is". All of our boxers are taught offensive and defensive fundamentals, and they are required to attain a proper level of conditioning before we'll allow them in the ring.

When it comes to competitive bouts, no other sport takes more safety precautions than amateur boxing. All amateur boxers must receive a physical examination before and after each competition. Protective gear is mandatory for each competition, and the primary directive of all amateur referees is the saftey of the boxers. Every possible precaution is taken to keep amateur boxing safe.

Unfortunately, not every child or young adult can afford the necessary equipment and instruction to allow them to participate in the sport of amateur boxing. We've created a fund to assist those who want to join our program but can't because of financial considerations. Our goal is to ensure that no potential boxer is turned away because of financial concerns.
